Straight answer
Where each one wins
Pick Usersnap for
Surveys, NPS and CSAT
Usersnap runs microsurveys and satisfaction scoring alongside bug reports. UserWants does none of that and has no plans to.
AI theme analysis across feedback
They cluster incoming feedback into themes automatically. Here you read the inbox, or ask your agent to summarise it over MCP.
Screenshot annotation and integrations
Reporters mark up the page, and reports sync to Jira, Azure DevOps and Slack. Neither exists in UserWants.

It does one thing
If what you needed was bug reports with enough evidence to fix them, a suite is overhead you configure once and pay for monthly. One widget, one inbox, five statuses.
Diagnostics without configuration
Up to 10 JavaScript errors with stack frames, the last 50 user actions, browser, viewport, locale and timezone — collected from page load with no setup and no instrumentation in your code.
Flat pricing with nothing metered
No volume tiers to outgrow and no per-seat charge. Unlimited projects, widgets and reports on the same plan.

Verdict
Which one to pick
Usersnap is the right answer when feedback is a programme rather than a channel — when someone owns NPS, runs surveys and reports on themes to a product org. That is a real job and UserWants does not do it. Pick UserWants when the actual need is narrower: users hit bugs, and you want the evidence to arrive with them instead of paying for eleven features to get one.

Usersnap is for
Product orgs running surveys, NPS and feedback analysis together
FAQ
Before you switch
- Is there a simpler Usersnap alternative just for bugs?
- That is what UserWants is. One button on your site takes a bug or an idea, and bug reports arrive with the screenshot, the JavaScript errors and the last 50 things the person did. There are no surveys, no NPS and no roadmap to configure.
- Can I keep my existing reports?
- There is no importer. Usersnap exports, but UserWants has no ingestion endpoint for it, so in practice teams run both for a sprint and switch the script tag once the new inbox has enough history to work from.
- Does it replace Usersnap for feature requests?
- Partly. The same widget collects ideas and moves them through five statuses with an email to the requester when one ships. What it does not have is a public board with voting, which Usersnap and Canny both offer.
Try it beside Usersnap.
Paste the tag on the same site and run both for a sprint. The reports arrive in parallel and nothing about your current setup changes.
